Education transforms lives

With accelerated climate change, the fragility of our planet is becoming more apparent. Persistent inequalities, social fragmentation, and political extremism are bringing many societies to the brink of crisis. Despite advances in digital communication, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology have great potential but also raise serious ethical and governance concerns. We must bear in mind that knowledge and learning are humanity’s greatest renewable resources for responding to challenges.  Yet, education does more than respond to a changing world. It can transform the world.

What do we do

Peace education is undoubtedly one way to realise peace goals to "build peace in the minds of men and women". One of our programmes is Futures of Education Forum which is held annually to invite people all over the world to submit their thoughts on the impact upon education by the advance of technology and ideas of required reforms for students to live and thrive in the future.

The Forum is Hong Kong’s response to the UNESCO’s initiative to enable sharing of ideas, among our expert presenters and the participants consisting of leaders from the education sector, the business sector and the community at large.
